Beginners are from any age, up to a pre-grade 1 stage.

Grade 1 (Beginner) Music for 1st-2nd year players. Mainly quarter note values and longer are used, with eighth notes occasionally. A limited number of pitches used. this grade is centred around the performance of prepared basic pieces and scales. This is where we create the building block to advance to a grade 2 level.
